Hamish & Andy dethroned in October Podcast Ranker results as downloads hit record high

Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime has returned to the top spot in the October Triton Podcast Ranker, and the first time since the metrics change to listener numbers, with the show this month publishing seven episodes, up on last month’s four.

It is also the first time that LiSTNR/SCA’s Hamish and Andy podcast has not been top in total listener figures since the change, as the pair moves to second spot, despite higher total listens than in September while also producing one less podcast.

Total downloads for October continued to increase, reaching a new high of 55.1 million, the largest total for a month since the monthly ranker was started by Commercial Radio Australia.

Aside from the change at the top, the list remains unchanged through positions three to eight, with ARN/iHeartMedia’s Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne following Hamish and Andy, then Nova’s The Update and 7am from Shwartz Media rounding out the top five.
