Havas Media announces first clients with OneShift and Douwe Egberts

One shiftRecent entrant into the media agency space Havas Media has reveals its first client wins, picking up online job network OneShift and dutch coffee brand Douwe Egberts.

The wins come four months after Havas Media announced that the French-owned group was ending its joint venture with Aegis Media in Australia to launch its own media agency as part of a full service offering and to be headed by former Naked Communications boss Mike Wilson.

“Like OneShift, we’re a new market entrant, and we want to shake up the status quo. Also like OneShift, we think the traditional approaches are unsuited to the modern landscape, and we intend to be a change agent for our clients,” said Mike Wilson Havas Media CEO.

OneShift marketing director, Simon Porter said he was impressed with Havas Media and pleased to begin working with the team after the competitive pitch involving three agencies.

“We liked Havas Media’s original thinking, and creative approach to our communications challenges. But what really sold them to us was their like-mindedness. They’re a relatively new player here in Australia, and determined to shake things up. Like us, they’re hungry and eager to drive the business forward and make waves. We can’t wait to get cracking with them,” said Porter.

The OneShift business will be led by Ben Sjogren, general manager, Havas Media who Mumbrella revealed last year had been poached by Havas to run their key accounts such as LG Electronics and Emirates Airlines.

The win follows Havas recently picking up Douwe Egberts locally from OMD, however that win has not yet been confirmed.

Last week OneShift announced Whybin\TBWA Sydney as is new creative agency.
