Have You Been Paying Attention? tops entertainment and wins all key demos

Have You Been Paying Attention? continues its string of strong performances for Ten, bringing in 709,000 metro viewers to be the top ratings non-news program on Monday.

It also won the three key advertising demos, and was the sixth-ranked program overall, beating out more-fancied tentpole programs including fellow Ten offering MasterChef Australia, as well as Big Brother and Celebrity Apprentice.

Seven’s Big Brother was the best in primetime, with 620,000 metro viewers, finishing ahead of MasterChef’s 615,000 metro viewers and Celebrity Apprentice on 609,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, The Chase Australia aired to 596,000 metro viewers and Home And Away brought in 593,000 metro viewers, for Seven.

Seven News was once again the top-rating program across metro markets, bringing in 1.119 million viewers, ahead of Nine News in second on 1.106 million.

Its performance helped the network to a 28% share win on the evening, with Channel Seven also the top-rating primary channel with 19.3%. In the network share stakes, next was Nine with 26.6%, Ten with 22.5% and the ABC with 15.3%.

A Current Affair had 807,000 metro viewers, and ABC News brought in 685,000 metro viewers. Later in the night, ABC’s Four Corners report, Ghosts Of Afghanistan, aired to 397,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, the top rating multi-channel on Monday was 10 Bold with a 4.9% single-channel share.
