PR agency Haystac appoints Google’s Henning Dorstewitz to run Sydney operation
Public relations agency Haystac has appointed Henning Dorstewitz as acting general manager of its Sydney office, filling in for Tabitha Fairbairn who will be on maternity leave in 2014.
Dorstewitz spent three years at Google Australia as global communications and public affairs manager. Prior to that he worked for Google in Germany as well as for German PR firm a+o.
In his new role he will report to Haystac’s national GM, Patrick O’Beirne.
“Henning is well regarded and respected in the industry and complements our existing team of skilled consultants in Sydney,” said Haystac managing director, Anton Staindl. “He also reinforces our strength in helping consumer-facing technology businesses and high-profile online brands communicate with key audiences.”
Haystac’s clients include Google, Westfield, Wesfarmers, Scheweppes and Tourism Australia.
He will lead Haystac Sydney’s operations until general manager Tabitha Fairbairn returns from maternity leave in 2014 after which the company said he will assume a senior position in the firm.
“Haystac has been supporting Google’s communications efforts in Australia for the past two years which gave me a deep insight into its strategic approach to PR. I can’t wait to join the team and start working with some of the global companies and brands they represent,” said Dorstewitz
Dorstewitz will take up the role from October 1. Haystac is part of the Dentsu-owned Aegis group.
