‘He is supremely talented’: Connecting Plots hires managing partner for social offering

Connecting Plots’ has welcomed former TBWA\Eleven and GROUND talent, Kent Pearson, to lead its social offering, a.glo.

In an effort to expand a.glo into an always-on social, influencer, creator and content offering, the agency has appointed Pearson as manager partner.

He brings nearly 20 years of industry experience to the role, having previously served as Eleven’s head of social and content strategy, GROUND’s managing partner, and Edge’s integrated planning director, among other roles.

He will be tasked with utilising social and influencer to drive brand growth and sales for clients, going beyond typical influencer marketing.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team during this exciting time for the business,” Pearson said of his appointment.

“Tom [Phillips] and Dave [Jansen] have built a great reputation for social that delivers genuine business impact and I’m excited to bring my expertise to build upon that specialist social and content offering further.”

The agency has unveiled a new influencer offering, designed by Pearson, called ‘Glow Up, Glow Out’, which applies marketing science and full-funnel thinking to influencers and content creators, to achieve long-term brand effects and short-term goals.

The product has already been rolled out to a number of Connecting Plots’ clients, and joins always-on performance creative and media, social media management, channel specific creative, and other capabilities available from a.glo.

The news comes shortly after Connecting Plots’ head of integrated strategy and planning, Tim Collier, departed after over six years at the agency. He has moved to cummins&partners as head of strategy.

The agency named Craig Page as Collier’s replacement.
