Healthdirect Australia appoints Bohemia and Workshop

Healthdirect AustraliaThe National Health Call Centre Network, a jointly funded federal, state and territory 24 hour phone service has appointed a creative and media agency following a competitive pitch.

Operating under the trade name Healthdirect Australia, the call centre has appointed Sydney-based Workshop as its creative agency and STW’s Bohemia to represent its media interests.

The agencies won the competitive pitch following a tender issued in August.

Michelle Wade, senior marketing manager for Healthdirect Australia said: “Workshop won because the agency demonstrated deep understanding of the challenges in connecting with our many and varied audiences, clear insights into how those challenges could be met and the creativity to bring those insights to life in multi-media.”

Jamie Kwong, Workshop principal, said: “The mission and quality of Healthdirect Australia’s work impacted on us from the outset. We recognised strong synergies in what the client team needed in their communications and what we as an agency would effectively deliver. We’re looking forward to building a strong and successful partnership together.”

Brett Dawson, founder and managing partner, Bohemia said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for Bohemia to stretch our behavioural targeting and direct response capabilities by managing call centre volumes to service specific volumes. Knowing that each interaction we make can directly help a person in need is very gratifying.”

Across the breadth of Healthdirect Australia’s portfolio, it offers health information and advice through services; mindhealthconnect, Pregnancy, Birth and Baby, healthdirect Australia and healthinsite, the after hours GP helpline and the National Health Services Directory.
