Helen Marassut to head SBS Feast mag sales

PacMags has announced Helen Morassut as the sales director of forthcoming title SBS Feast magazine. Morassut was previously sales director with sister company Text Pacific.

Monday 18th July, 2011 – Pacific Magazines has announced the appointment of Helen Morassut as Sales Director, SBS Feast magazine.

Morassut, who has over 14 years’ experience in print media sales, says she is delighted to be a part of the launch of the title, which has received an overwhelmingly positive reception from the market to date.

“In such a well catered-for category, people were intrigued to see what SBS Feast’s point of difference was,” Morassut said.

“Once we presented the magazine’s content, position and aim, clients and agencies unanimously agreed we had uncovered something unique that really resonates with what readers who are passionate about the experience of food are looking for.”

With the first issue of the monthly newsstand magazine set to go on sale on August 1st, Morassut has named an experienced sales team, including National Advertising Manager, Jessica Barton; Senior Account Manager, Kate Pacey; and Victorian Senior Account Manager, Heidi Adriaanse; to liaise with automotive, travel, finance and FMCG category clients.

Pacific Magazines Commercial Sales Director, Peter Zavecz, said SBS Feast offers the perfect complement to Pacific’s existing portfolio of magazines.

“SBS Feast will only strengthen our foothold in the market as well as into this category.

“The launch of SBS Feast will cap off SBS’s 360-degree media solution, and will see Pacific working closely with the SBS TV sales team – headed by Mark Fairhurst – to continue to explore and implement innovative multimedia opportunities for the brand.”

SBS National Manager, Consumer Publishing and Brand Extensions, Sharon Ramsay-Luck commented: “We are thrilled to be so close to the on-sale date of SBS Feast. The market’s response to SBS Feast has been overwhelmingly positive which is fantastic because it wholeheartedly embraces SBS’s passionate approach to food. The magazine’s celebration of food and culture is obviously hitting its target, as we hoped it would.”

The launch of the magazine will be supported by a significant marketing campaign and social media push, including the development of a dedicated microsite on the SBS Food Portal, and innovative point-of-sale promotion. A TVC featuring the title will air nationally on SBS TV and radio from July 28th.
