Herd MSL appoints new chief creative strategist

Publicis Groupe’s communications agency Herd MSL has appointed Peter Galmes as chief creative strategist for Australia and New Zealand.

Galmes will be responsible for growing and strengthening the agency’s capabilities across social and content. He will also be charged with building better offerings focused on audience, community and influence.

Bringing more than 20 years’ experience to the role, including from DDB Group, We Are Social and Ogilvy, Galmes was most recently creative director at POLY, where he led its OOH content and creative innovation hub.

Galmes said he is “beyond excited” to join Herd MSL.

“It has always been a passion of mine to change how people perceive social media, it is at the heart of everything our audiences interact with daily and at Herd MSL, we have the tools and people to really grow something special,” he said.

“I believe that with the right audience insight, earned and social can come together to create work that can engage and influence audiences in new ways.

“The team is brimming with talent, passion and knowledge. This is an incredible chance to work on a wide range of brands and do things that have never been done before,” he concluded.
