Herd MSL bolsters leadership, promotes Stuart Wragg and Laura Beament

Publicis Groupe public relations agency, Herd MSL, has promoted Stuart Wragg as chief strategy officer and Laura Beament to managing director of Fuel Communications.

The appointments come as the agency moves to bolster its executive team and bring depth to its corporate, consumer and government sectors. The management shakeup also follows the departure of managing director Jason Carnew in August last year.

Wragg has been at the agency since 2010, joining its corporate communications arm N2N communications as associate partner and creative director, before moving into the wider agency. He steps up to CSO from his position as strategy director.

Beament joined consumer lifestyle arm Fuel Communications in 2016 and was elevated to general manager in 2018 in another management reshuffle.

Herd MSL has also brought in two new members to the executive team, Rami Mallis and Emma de Voss.

De Voss has joined as government lead, leveraging her experience in public sector communications with a number of NSW Government departments, and in the private sector following her two-and-a-half years at Ausgrid. De Voss will be focused on driving growth and relationships in state and federal government.

Mallis was hired in September from Weber Shandwick as business director, responsible for driving best practice and creative work across new and existing clients.

Herd MSL group managing director, Skye Lambley, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Rami and Emma, who bring significant skills and experience to both our clients and our team.

“I’d also like to congratulate Stu and Laura on their promotions. Stu has played a key role to win new clients and drive creativity and innovation within the business; and Laura has continued to scale our consumer lifestyle business through brilliant strategy and creative campaigns. Both of their efforts ensured us a very successful 2020.

“Our senior team is critical for us to achieve our purpose to create conversations that change Australia – and in announcing these promotions and appointments, we’re extremely optimistic and excited about what we’ll achieve in the year ahead.”
