Hi-vis The Block seals the win for Nine

Nine’s The Block topped entertainment Thursday night, helping the network take the biggest overall nightly share.

The episode aired to a metro audience of 670,000, while also winning all three key advertising demos.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 29 September, Thursday’s episode of Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.358 million viewers, including 38,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. Amazing Race on Ten had the biggest uplift of 49% and was viewed by a total audience of 596,000.

Looking back at Thursday’s ratings, an episode of The Chase Australia on Seven was next in entertainment with a metro audience of 439,000, followed by Seven’s Home and Away which brought in 428,000 metro viewers.

Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 metro program on Thursday, airing to 831,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 816,000 metro viewers, while Nine News at 6:30 had 709,000 metro viewers, and Nine News had 688,000.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 30.1% just pipping Seven’s 26.9%, while Ten took a 17.3% share and the ABC had 16.7%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7TWO 4.4%.
