Hill+Knowlton Strategies partners with animal charity WIRES

Newly rebranded Hill+Knowlton Strategies, formerly known as Hill + Knowlton,  has announced a partnership with charity NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service, or WIRES.

The announcement:

Sydney, March 12 2012 – Hill+Knowlton Strategies is delighted to announce that it has chosen WIRES (the NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service Inc) as its charity partner for 2012.

WIRES is Australia’s largest not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping sick, injured and orphaned native animals. WIRES conducts more than 65,000 animal rescues each year and responds to around 100,000 requests for help from NSW’s general public, businesses, the RSPCA, zoos, government departments, local councils and the police.

As H+K Strategies charity of the year, WIRES will receive an ongoing program of communications and fundraising support.

Sue Cook, Managing Director of Hill+Knowlton Strategies said, “We are delighted to be working with and raising money to help such an important charity.  As the largest organisation in Australia dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals, it is not surprising that our employees were keen to support such a worthy cause.”

Leanne Taylor, General Manager of WIRES added, “We are thrilled to be named Hill+Knowlton Strategies chosen charity for 2012.  We rely heavily on the goodwill of local businesses and H+K Strategies support will prove invaluable to our organisation.”
