Hogarth expands leadership team with three senior appointments

Reporting 25% YOY growth in the Australian market over the past 12 months, WPP’s production services specialist Hogarth has expanded its local leadership team, confirming the appointment of three senior leaderships roles.

Joining the agency as general manager in October is Harry Preston. Preston has extensive experience across creative, content and production agencies, having spent the past five years as managing director at creative and production ecosystem Genero. At Hogarth, he will be focused on uniting the agency’s client and studio functions to deliver innovative, tech-led solutions to Hogarth’s growing client portfolio.

Having spent the past four years as WPP’s people director, public relations and public affairs’, Kathryn Banfield also joins the agency as head of HR for Hogarth Australia. Banfield brings extensive people and culture experience across a diverse set of agencies and will be tasked with developing and implementing innovative talent initiatives for Hogarth’s team of over 160 specialists in Australia

Finally, Nick Dean joins Hogarth as talent director with the remit of finding and attracting some of the best talent in Australia and finding smarter and more efficient ways to access the growing freelance marketplace in Australia. Dean has both founded his own talent consultancy, Talentworks, as well as leading the development of two new major studio teams.

Commenting on the appointments, Justin Ricketts, Hogarth Australia CEO said: “I am delighted to welcome Harry, Kathryn and Nick to the Hogarth family. Collectively, they deliver a diverse and rich portfolio of skills and experience to the business, helping to ensure Hogarth remains the best place for specialist creative talent to thrive in Australia.”

The new appointments come after the WPP production arm has benefited from two major wins in the past six months, as major Australian account Suncorp decoupled it’s creative in February this year, moving all of its creative production into a centralised hub within Hogarth, with Woolworths shortly following suit in April.
