Honeycomb Strategy has named Lyla Thorn as its new marketing & content manager.
The announcement:
Honeycomb Strategy, an award-winning marketing consultancy specialising in market research, behavioural science and AI, has announced the appointment of Lyla Thorn as its new marketing & content manager.
In this newly created role, Thorn will work closely with founder Renata Freund and operations director Jac Nguyen to strengthen Honeycomb’s marketing presence and amplify the consultancy’s voice across the industry.
Listed as one of B&T’s top 10 social media directors, Thorn brings nearly a decade of marketing and design experience to Honeycomb, spanning agency, consultancy, and freelance work. She recently spent two years in South Korea freelancing as a social media strategist and working as a graphic designer at Gunther Consulting. Prior to that, she was a senior marketing executive at ICON.
With a unique background in both marketing and design, Thorn thrives at the intersection of creativity and strategy. She also recently graduated from AWARD School, where she was recognised as the online winner for the radio brief and featured on “the wall” twice.
Honeycomb Strategy founder, Renata Freund, said: “This appointment comes at a pivotal time in Honeycomb’s eight-year journey. We no longer want to be the industry’s best-kept secret. Lyla’s marketing expertise and creative energy will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy forward. Having a dedicated resource in this space is already enabling us to deliver on initiatives we’ve been eager to launch for some time. We are also continuing to evolve how insights are generated and applied, investing in developing proprietary AI tools that fuse behavioural science with smart tech. Our suite of AI-powered solutions enables us to deliver sharper insights to our clients, surfacing the answers that traditional research often misses.”
Commenting on her appointment, Thorn said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Honeycomb Strategy, a workplace that truly puts people first. From day one, the team has given me such a warm welcome. I’m excited to apply my creative and strategic skills to strengthen Honeycomb’s brand and help share our story with the wider industry.”
The appointment follows a period of strong momentum for Honeycomb Strategy, which recently presented its ‘Digital Insights Series’ keynote at iMedia’s Future of Marketing Summit, sharing insights from its latest self-funded study into how brands can drive ROI through smarter, behaviourally informed loyalty programs. The ‘Science of Loyalty’ is being released soon.
At the core of Honeycomb’s approach is its behavioural science expertise. This commitment was underpinned at its 2025 Behavioural Science Masterclass, which equipped 20 senior marketing and insights leaders with actionable tactics to apply immediately to their strategies and continues to be embedded across all client work.
