Host/Havas wins Chatime’s creative account

Havas Group’s creative arm, Host/Havas, has won the creative account for iced tea company, Chatime.

The appointment will see Host/Havas build Chatime’s customer experience and provide reasons for new and existing customers to visit stores using the brands mission to “shake up the world of mundane beverages”.

Chatime has appointed Host/Havas as its creative agency of record

Host/Havas will focus on the development of the brand’s social media activity for an audience of 14 to 25 year olds.

Incumbent agency, The Sphere Agency, created the ‘Enjoy it’ campaign for the brand last June which featured people drinking the tea in any costume and place they like.

The Sphere Agency resigned the account last year to handle tea company Tealive’s global creative account.

Laura Aldington, CEO, Host/Havas said in a statement: “Chatime is a new breed of tea that is on a mission to change the way people think about the category with its inventive products. The Chatime brand is fun and playful and that gives us fantastic creative license to celebrate the lighter side of life. We’re excited to partner up and shake up the tea category in style – watch this space.”

Carlos Antonius, group general manager at Chatime Australia, added: “After a strong 2017, we’re on a mission to take Chatime to the next level in 2018 and continue to shake up the tea category. Chatime is a fun brand and we will be developing some fun marketing campaigns in the coming months to support that. If you didn’t know or haven’t tried our products before, it’s time for you to discover the crazy world of fresh iced tea.”

The win for Host/Havas comes weeks after the agency held onto its biggest account, Defence Force Recruiting, for another year.

Havas Group merged two of its advertising agencies Havas and Host to create Host/Havas in October last year.
