Host to handle advertising for Bankwest Business

Bankwest has extended its relationship with ad agency Host, which currently works on its retail business, to now include its sister company, Bankwest Business.

The announcement:

Following the extension of Host’s contract with sister company Bankwest Retail until 2013, the agency has now also been appointed to work with Bankwest Business on brand development, advertising and a range of other marketing communications.

One of the primary objectives of the move is to bring the two divisions closer together from a brand and customer viewpoint, and help realise opportunities from within the customer base.

Host’s Client Service Director Richard Birkby said “we’re delighted to see our relationship with Bankwest grow.”

“They’ve rolled out a revolutionary model of retail banking and it will be equally exciting working with them as they develop their business banking operation.

“We’re looking forward to developing some fresh and interesting work with the team and approaching new audiences. It’s a great expression of Bankwest’s faith in Host and we’re really pleased to become part of the business banking team.”

Bankwest’s Marketing Director Paul Vivian said “there’s huge opportunity for Bankwest in aligning our brand vision, so it made a great deal of sense to have a single partner working across both organisations.”

“With Ian Corfield taking on the Chief Executive role at Bankwest Business, we have big plans for our business banking offering over the coming months and there are exciting times ahead for the brand.

“We look forward to working together with Host on developing an impactful and effective campaign.”

Bankwest has worked together with Host since 2007 on the Happy Banking Initiative.
