Hot off the grill! MasterChef takes entertainment crown; Seven wins Thursday

Ten’s MasterChef has taken out the top spot for entertainment on Thursday night, however, it was Seven that celebrated an overall network share win.

The cooking show aired to 516,000 metro viewers and won key advertising demo, 18-49.

Next up in entertainment was The Chase Australia on Seven, bringing in 469,000 metro viewers, followed by Hot Seat on Nine with 450,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s  AFL game between Brisbane Lions and Western Bulldogs aired to a metro audience of 390,000, while also winning key advertising demos, 16-39, while Nine’s NRL game between the Sea Eagles and Storm aired to 307,000 metro viewers. 

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 23 June, Seven News topped the list with 1.448 million total TV viewers, including 34,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The program with the highest uplift was D.I Ray on SBS, with an uplift of 164%, viewed by a total of 396,000 national viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 856,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News with 809,000 metro viewers. Seven News at 6:30 was next with 803,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 790,000 metro viewers. Nine’s A Current Affair aired to 576,000 metro viewers, while ABC News brought in 575,000 metro viewers. ABC’s 7:30 followed with 572,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Seven won the overall share for the evening with 28.4%, followed by Nine with 25.7%. Next was Ten, with 17.9%, and the ABC with a share of 19.6%.
