The connection between the Hottest 100 furore and the NBN farce spelled out in seven words
Dr Mumbo felt rather sorry for sleepy communications minister Mitch Fifield when he plodded onto ABC News Breakfast this morning to attempt to generate some heartland-pleasing condemnation of Triple J’s decision to shift it’s Hottest 100 rundown to a less divisive day than Australia Day.
Although Fifield’s heart clearly wasn’t really in it, he gave it a shot.

After all, it was better than being asked too many questions about the NBN’s humiliating decision to suspend its rollout via HFC cable TV wires because of technical problems. (Or, as the NBN spinners put it: “taking the customer experience improvement program to new levels”.)
