House Rules wins the night giving Seven a narrow win over Nine

Seven’s House Rules dominated Sunday evening as it climbed 93,000 metro viewers to 1.279m – up from last week’s 1.186m – helping Seven scrape to an overall audience share win.

According to OzTam’s overnight preliminary metro ratings, Seven managed an average audience share of 23.1%, just ahead of Nine’s 23.0%.

Ten had a share of 12.5%, ABC’s share was 11.0% and SBS’ 5.8%.

House Rules was the most-watched program across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54), with 573,000 metro viewers in the 25-54 age bracket.

Nationally, including regional viewers and broadcasts on affiliate stations, the show had 2.052m viewers.

Nine’s The Voice, which saw the final 12 contestants perform live, captured a metro audience of 1.025m, and was in the top five most-watched shows across the key advertising demographics.

The Voice had a national audience of 1.436m.

Both programs were ahead of Ten’s Masterchef, which had 794,000 viewers, an increase of 57,000 metro viewers from last week’s program.

Later on in the evening, Seven’s Sunday Night managed a metro audience of 829,000, while Nine’s 60 Minutes had 758,000.

Nine News Sunday beat Seven News this week, pulling 1.271m metro viewers ahead of Seven’s 1.239m.

However, nationally Seven News beat Nine, with 1.940m and 1.275m viewers respectively.

ABC News Sunday had 784,000 metro viewers.
