The price of advertising
Those boat ads sure are costing tax payers a lot of money.
Still, if you want to get the perfect placement in the Sydney Morning Herald, it’s worth spending the money.

I’d have thought these advertising dollars (of ourse) would be more effecitvely spent in local Indonesian newspapers, local Indonesian radio stations, local Indonesian TV, Indonesian social media…..and/or possibly in similar media in Afhganistan.
I can’t imagine many wanna-be illegal migrants from those locations subscribing to, or even checking, the Australian papers.

These ads in Australian media are working. Make no mistake. Captain Chaos is tougher than Tony. I was thinking of flying to Jakarta and getting a boat to Christmas Island, but these ads have made me change my mind.

I can’t even begin to explain how angry I am every time these ads come on the radio. Is there even a forum to complain about this blatant waste of taxpayer’s money, of what can only be seen as a propaganda program that Putin would be proud of?
