Howatson+Company adds creative and production duties to UNSW remit
UNSW Sydney has handed its creative and production duties to Howatson+Company, after it was awarded the university’s media account since May last year.
Chief marketing officer of UNSW, Sofia Lloyd-Jones, said the university decided to unify creative and production services into a “single operating model” after working with Howatson+Company on media buying.
“A single operating model enables us to move quickly to respond to customer needs in a fast changing market, and at scale.
“The team at Howatson+Co have demonstrated their deep understanding of the sector and continue to apply data and innovation to promote an integrated growth strategy.”

CEO at Howatson+Company, Chris Howatson, said: “The world needs new ideas and solutions, and in working with UNSW over the past year, it’s clear they are leading the way to a more sustainable, just society.
“To be trusted to express their ideals across all three communication functions of media, message and orchestration is a privilege and an opportunity to contribute.
“Sofia has a very clear and ambitious vision for future student recruitment, and we’re thrilled to be deepening our partnership.”
Howatson recently sat down with Mumbrella at the agency’s two-year mark to chat about its plan to cap its own growth to ensure sustainable development.
Howatson+Company’s other recent client wins include Domain and GMHBA. The agency appointed a new managing partner, Kristie Thistlethwaite, at the beginning of the year.
