Hungry Jack’s and The Smith Family band together for new education-based partnership
Hungry Jack’s has unveiled a new partnership with The Smith Family to support young Australians in their educational endeavours.
Through the alliance, every purchase of a large or medium hot drink from Jack’s Cafe will result in a 10 cent donation being made to the Learning for Life program – an initiative from The Smith Family that provides over 67,000 students across Australia with “financial assistance for school supplies, personal support, and access to programs like Learning Clubs and the online mentoring platform iTrack”.
The partnership’s goal is to empower young, disadvantaged Australians and help them take full advantage of their potential.
“As a leading employer of young Australians, we understand the importance of providing support and believe every young person deserves a chance to reach their full potential,” Chris Green, chief executive officer (CEO) at Hungry Jack’s, said.
“Every cup of our coffee is crafted with love, and we invite our customers to share the love by supporting The Smith Family and making a difference together.”
When speaking on the new partnership, The Smith Family’s CEO, Doug Taylor, said having the backing of Hungry Jacks is a huge boon for the children’s charity.
“This partnership with Hungry Jack’s is a big step toward creating lasting change for young Australians who face significant barriers in their education, allowing us to continue our mission of helping them create a better future for themselves,” said Taylor.
Customers wanting to get involved on the initiative can purchase their drink via drive-thru, the burger chain’s app, or in-store.
The Smith Family is not the only child-centric philanthropic organisation Hungry Jack’s has engaged with. In mid-July this year, the fast food chain raised $2.3 million for Make-A-Wish Australia – a charity that provides children living with medical conditions and illnesses a wish.
