Hungry Jack’s pranks customers in new Halloween campaign

Hungry Jack’s has unveiled its ‘Scarily Good’ campaign in the lead-up to Halloween, to promote its limited-edition Halloween Whopper.

Hungry Jacks Halloween Campaign

Created by Channel T, the campaign features Adam, a Hungry Jack’s customer, pranking his friends for Halloween as they venture through the fast-food joint’s drive thru.

The campaign marks the first time Hungry Jack’s has launched a limited edition Whopper, featuring a Jack ‘O’ Lantern-inspired bun and cheddar cheese.

Digital and social videos, animated social posts and in-store point-of-sale materials will be rolled out as part of the campaign, the in-store materials will appear in more than 400 restaurants in Australia.

“We’ve never altered the taste of the bun, but we think the cheddar cheese will be the perfect accompaniment to our flame-grilled beef patty in our new Halloween Whopper,” said Scott Baird, chief marketing officer at Hungry Jack’s.

Marrianne Little, creative director at Channel T, said of Hungry Jack’s: “They make bold marketing choices, challenging the team here at Channel T to push the boundaries to give them a campaign that really captured the fun of Halloween and effectively transcended traditional media channels.”
