IAG assigns Thinkerbell to creative project for CGU

IAG has allocated a creative project for insurance business CGU to Thinkerbell, Mumbrella can reveal.

Thinkerbell was appointed to IAG’s public relations account in 2019, making it the agency’s first standalone PR client.

IAG chief marketing officer, Brent Smart, told Mumbrella in a statement that the appointment of projects within the group’s agency roster is standard procedure.

“For an upcoming CGU project we briefed a number of the agencies we work with, as we often do, and we will be working with Thinkerbell on that project moving forward,” he said.

The Monkeys is IAG’s lead creative agency, producing work for NRMA insurance and CGU. The agency was appointed in 2017, taking over the responsibility from M&C Saatchi.

IAG’s agency roster also includes CHE Proximity, Colenso BBDO and Mindshare.

In recent months, CHE Proximity has created three campaign activations for NRMA; the Help! board game, the ‘Sloways’ campaign calling for caravan holiday makers to support regional towns, and the confronting ‘First Saturday’ campaign which called for homeowners to prepare themselves for the extreme weather events which occur over summner.

Colenso BBDO was behind NRMA’s reminder for drivers to stay alert and safe over the Christmas holiday period.
