IGA says ‘Thank You’ to consumers in new TVC featuring Shane Jacobson

IGA is saying ‘Thank You’ to Australians for supporting its independently owned stores during the COVID-19 pandemic in new TVC.

Featuring Shane Jacobson, it shows the connection IGA stores have with local communities and how important the continued support of customers was over the past year.

Similar to most recent IGA campaigns, the TVC features real IGA store owners, including Linh Nguyen, owner of Thai Kee IGA in NSW, Tony Ingpen, owner of Mt Evelyn IGA in Victoria, and Lee-Anne Woodgate, owner of Pearsall IGA. The owners talk about the support they were able to offer to their communities thanks to their loyal shoppers.

IGA’s general marketing manager, Tracy Wilson said: “When shoppers choose to shop at IGA, the impact of that decision can be far reaching. It helps the whole community on many levels because IGA store owners stock from local suppliers, employ many locals and give back to so many community causes. We are so proud to share even more real stories about what sets IGA apart, pass on our heartfelt thanks to our shoppers and showcase the benefits that come with their decision to support local family owned businesses.”

Christian Finucane, founder and creative partner at The Core Agency said: “As Australia’s local supermarket brand, IGA stores were genuinely on the frontline during the height of COVID. This humble message captures the gratitude of store owners that they could keep supporting their communities when it mattered most.”

The campaign follows last month’s announcement that The Core Agency had won the Doctors on Demand account, after a creative pitch.
