Ikea hosts Wheel of Flatpack mobile game show to promote new stores

Ikea is promoting its new Sydney and Melbourne stores through the creation of a mobile game show called Wheel Of Flatpack.

The activity is the first in Australia for UK advertising company Streetribes who have provided the truck which houses the Ikea showroom. The activation follows a successful partnership between the brands in the UK.

Consumers who follow Ikea on Facebook and Twitter will be alerted to the truck’s locations where they can spin the wheel for a prize ranging from an Ikea hot dog to a sofa. All prizes can be redeemed at the new Springvale and Tempe stores. 

The “shows” will travel through Melbourne and Sydney for a five-day period.

The promotion of the new stores in Sydney and Melbourne is part of a wider campaign including outdoor, print, radio, digital, social media and PR.
