Ikon announces 12 new clients including Labor election campaign
STW media agency Ikon has announced it has added $48m to its annual billings with the addition of 12 new clients to its roster.
The new brands which have signed with the media agency are: Clinique, Estee Lauder and Bing Lee in Sydney, Ego Pharmaceuticals, Open Universities Australia and Peet in Melbourne. The Clinique, Estee Lauder and Open Universities accounts are all for digital work.
Ikon’s 12 month old Brisbane office has won ERM Energy, Crime Stoppers Queensland, BrisConnections and the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland.
The media agency has also announced it has been re-appointed to the ALP Federal Election Campaign, which will be expected to be held in mid to late 2013.
Ikon National CEO Dan Johns said the agency had won accounts for its strong digital services in addition to more traditional services.
“Given the work we’ve undertaken to ensure our skills set has broadened significantly in recent times, it’s encouraging to see that we’re being appointed for specialist capabilities in the areas of digital, search and performance media,” said Mr Johns.
“This bodes well for the year ahead and our ability to respond to more complex client requirements.”

Please, please, please get the research about the NBN right. It’s one of the biggest election issues and there is so much good material to bash the Liberals over the head with!

Given their performance in 2010, is the reappointment as ALP media agency a good decision? (My feeling: no.)
