Ikon picks up Pandora

Media agency Ikon has finished the year with a win.

The agency has been appointed by jeweller Pandora to manage its media strategy from the beginning of the year.

Annick Perrin, Ikon Sydney’s  joint MD, said “We are ecstatic to be appointed to Pandora, such a high profile brand with an amazing history and extremely successful business. We are looking forward to the next phase of growth for Pandora and the Ikon team has already developed some new innovative ideas for the brand.”

The announcement comes a day after Mediacom said it was resigning the account due to “strategic differences”.

According to Ikon’s announcement: “It is an important time for all retailers as their businesses are evolving quickly and for Pandora a time to bring a fresh non-traditional approach to their communications.”

Karin Adcock, Pandora Australia’s president, said: “Ikon is a great fit for Pandora. The company has a strong strategic approach to media and great depth of experience in retail and digital marketing. We have been impressed by Ikon’s creativity and idea generation.”

Last week Mumbrella named Ikon as its media agency of the year.
