Mediacom parts ways with Pandora
Media agency Mediacom says it has resigned its jewellery client Pandora.
Executive chairman Toby Jenner issued a statement saying:
“It is with regret that Mediacom has decided to resign the Pandora account due to strategic differences. We have had a strong partnership for over five years building their brand from a small unknown jeweler whose first campaign we implemented was a single page in Vogue magazine.
“Over the years we have built this brand into a nationally recognised business that is known and loved by many. We are very proud of the work we have done, and we wish them well in the future.”
Mediacom has seen significant growth during 2011, driven by winning Westpac.
That’s like the note a girlfriend once wrote to me after we broke up.

Is there a charm that represents the loss of a client?

what are strategic differences in the context of buying a few ads? really … or is this just a chance for an agency to use that strategy word again.

Rule 1 – A media agency has never parted ways with a client due to not being as good as someone else. They have ‘strategic differences’ or ‘resign the account’ or have ‘amicable separations’.
