What image libraries think public relations looks like
Dr Mumbo is a big fan of image library Thinkstock.
Guest posts on “what the industry lacks is the product that we happen to offer” would certainly look blander without the very fine image options afforded by Thinkstock.
Dr Mumbo does, however, worry that Thinkstock’s algorithm might be just a tad on the old fashioned side.
Search on “public relations” and Thinkstock returns an impressive 397,844 matches.
(And at this point, Dr Mumbo warns those who continue to scroll down, that the image at the bottom of this page is a bit NSFW.)
But option number nine – not something buried down the list, but number nine, mind you – of those 397,844 options, does not accord with any impression Dr Mumbo had of public relations at any point during the last half century or so.
As you know the great editorial challenge for trade journals is how best to incorporate cleavage in their industry reporting.
Congratulations. You nailed it There’s a Pulitzer somewhere with your name on it.
(NB – the programmatic panel next to this as I write is some mumbrella women in media thing. Double win!!).
Now please move on to some hard hitting news about Bonds campaign pitches, suitably illustrated etc.
