Independent OOH providers unite to launch the Alliance Outdoor Media Group

A group of independent out-of-home (OOH) providers are banding together to create an alliance that will offer agencies easy access to a far-reaching network of outdoor assets, large format knowledge and local insights.

With 45 cents out of every dollar spent on advertising going to large format roadside, this new alliance is hoped to provide agencies with a true format specialist.

Launching with three of Australia’s large format roadside providers as founding members, the Alliance Outdoor Media Group can offer a significant Eastern Seaboard presence including static and digital outdoor assets.

Agencies will have access to outdoor knowledge from each market and receive quality strategic brief responses and a single booking/billing point.

Omnicom head of OOH and audio partnerships, John Lynch, said: “Our focus is on delivering campaigns that deliver the best results for our clients, and we’re looking forward to seeing how this new alliance of independent providers can help us in achieving those results.”

The founding members of the Alliance Outdoor Media Group include goa, EiMedia, and Civic Outdoor.

National sales director for Alliance Outdoor Media Group, Daniel McConochie, commented: “We understand and value the important role that agencies play in growing their clients’ businesses through outstanding media campaigns.

“We are eager to bring this unique and impressive collection of assets to the table to provide the reach and impact we know agencies are looking for.”

goa’s joint managing director, Chris Tyquin noted: “The foundation members of this alliance are successful out-of-home companies who specialise in large format roadside billboards.

“We are uniquely positioned to provide not only fantastic assets, but expert advice on how to maximise a client’s investment in large format roadside.

Civic Outdoor CEO, Adam Whitford, said: “Our businesses haven’t been tasked with KPIs or directives from investors or third parties. Our site locations have been selected based on our unparalleled local knowledge on where to find engaged audiences and our businesses have been successful as a result.”

EiMedia’s CEO Kevin Malouf added: “The Alliance Outdoor Media Group is a sensational opportunity to harvest the best local and independent assets into a national outdoor network that is repped and serviced by genuine experts in the outdoor industry. We are excited by the prospect of welcoming more providers into the alliance – so watch this space.”
