Industry heavyweights Brent Hill, Hugh Marks and Carl Fennessy to speak at Mumbrella360 2023

South Australian Tourism Commission CMO turned Tourism Fiji CEO, Brent Hill, is the first global keynote speaker confirmed for Mumbrella360 2023. He’ll be joined on the program by two of the biggest names in the media industry, Dreamchaser founders Hugh Marks (former CEO of Nine Entertainment Co) and Carl Fennessy (co-founder and former CEO of Endemol Shine).

Super earlybird tickets are available now.

Hill will fly into Sydney to discuss Fiji’s recovery from the pandemic. The tourism dollar is extremely important to the country and like all popular holiday destinations, the tourism industry in Fiji suffered greatly as airlines, hotels and tours shut their doors.

Hill’s team had to ensure Fiji was put back at the top of the holiday destination list for travellers all around the world.

As of the end of November 2022, Fiji has welcomed approximately 580,000 visitors – double forecasts – and provided jobs for close to 118,000 Fijians, both directly and indirectly.

Marks and Fennessy, meanwhile, will discuss how television programming is transforming beyond the traditional screen, and why premium content is becoming king.

Dreamchaser was launched in April this year and has a strategic partnership with global content studio Endeavor Content. It will produce creative partnerships across scripted, factual and entertainment genres, focused on “driving global projects out of the Australian market”.

Hill, Marks and Fennessy join already announced speakers Sam Moor and Charlie Aspinwall of Ludo Studios (the Emmy, Logie and AACTA Award winning studio behind kids TV series Bluey), Kate O’Connor of BBC Studios, and Decision Design’s Tara Ness.

Mumbrella360 takes place on 18-20 July at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, starting with an industry speed networking event on the first day. It includes six streams of content with a significant amount of global speakers to be announced across the coming months.

Session submissions are also currently open. The submission date has been revised to 3 February 2023. Competition for the limited amount of industry-proposed sessions is stiff, with ideas that involve global speakers, new and/or exclusive research, fresh ways of presenting or cutting-edge case studies favoured.

Submissions will be considered for both standard sessions as well as Masterclasses, and can be submitted here.

A limited amount of super earlybird tickets are on sale now at heavily discounted prices.
