Initiative Melbourne’s Sérgio Brodsky leaves in strategy restructure
Sérgio Brodsky has left Initiative Melbourne after as part of a restructure of its strategy lineup.
Brodsky moved from Starcom to take the role as Intiative’s Melbourne head of strategy last year as part of the agency beefing up its presence in the city.
At the time of the appointment, Initiative Australia’s then-chief of strategy, Tristan Burrell, said in a statement: “We’re focusing very strongly on the Melbourne market and looking forward to having Sergio’s creative and strategic thinking working with our clients and agency teams.”
Brodsky will not be replaced with national chief strategy officer, Sam Geer talking on oversight the Melbourne office’s strategy needs.
In a statement, an agency spokesperson said: “Initiative is placing new emphasis on strategy and focusing our resources more within our day to day client teams. This new positioning has impacted Sergio Brodsky’s role as head of strategy for Initiative Melbourne and he has left the agency. The role will not be replaced. Initiative’s national chief strategy officer Sam Geer has direct oversight of strategy resources and development.
