Inskin Media appoints new CEO as Hugo Drayton steps down

Inskin Media chief operating officer Matt Newcomb will step up as CEO of the adtech business following the departure of longtime leader Hugo Drayton.

The change will take place at the end of 2019, and also see Iain Jacob take up the helm as chairman.

Drayton will be stepping down after ten years with Inskin Media

Drayton has led Inskin Media since it launched a decade ago. Newcomb has worked alongside Drayton in London for two years, after launching and building the business’ Australian arm during three years in Sydney. Newcomb has worked for companies including News Corp and Fairfax in his career.

Drayton will stay on as director of the Inskin board and will be engaged in a strategic and consulting role with the business.

Jacob has been a non-executive director on the Inskin board for the past year and is a former CEO of Publicis EMEA. He will replace Andrew Walmsley as chairman of the company, who is stepping down after five years. Walmsley will remain as a director.

The Inskin board thanked Drayton and Walmsley for their huge contribution to the business over many years and is happy the pair will stay connected to the company.

Drayton said: “It has been a huge privilege to lead Inskin during the past decade. The time is now right for a change, both for me personally and for the business, as we continue to adapt to a challenging, ever-evolving market. I am proud of our achievements, of the quality of our work, and especially of the fantastic teams that we have created, around the world; and I am very happy that the new team, led by Matt, Mark, Reda and Jemma, will lead Inskin to new growth and success.”
