Interbrand makes three redundancies

Interbrand, which has piled on 30 staff this year off the back of big projects such as the rebranding of Telstra, has made three redundancies as a result of a restructure to focus on retail, digital strategy and design.

MD Richard Curtis told Mumbrella: “We’ve had some huge projects this year and now that we’ve found some breathing space, we’ve made the move the reshape the agency to take into account the rapid growth of the business and the fact that we’ve doubled in size over the past 12 months.”

He added, “We’re keen to build on our growing retail environments capability and we have an increasing focus on digital strategy and design. We’ve also picked up new clients and added an extra team. But the change in shape has also meant a change in some of the roles required, so we have had to make three redundancies to fit the model.”

Interbrand, which is part of DDB Group, has grown to around 50 staff, up from 20 at the start of the year.
