International Advertising Association Global appoints three vice presidents from Australia

International Advertising Association Global (IAA Global) has appointed three Australian vice presidents.

The announcement:

International Advertising Association Global, a global association representing all areas of the marketing and communications industry, has appointed three Australian IAA Global Vice Presidents. The appointments are representative of newly elected IAA Global Chairman and President Joel E. Nettey’s focus on four key pillars – Diversity & Inclusion, Creativity & Innovation, Regulatory Issues, and Education.

Heather Leembruggen will lead as IAA Global Vice President for IAA Elections. She is also Chairman Emeritus of IAA Australia. An IAA veteran of 43 years, she has served the global organisation as Vice President in many roles and as IAA World Treasurer on the IAA World Board.

Sheba Nandkeolyar will lead as Global Vice President for Diversity & Inclusion – a new and key focus pillar highlighted by Nettey. Sheba is Vice President and Board Member of IAA Australia; CEO of MultiConnexions Group, Australia’s leading and largest multicultural and diaspora marketing agency; and Advisory Board Member of Media Diversity Australia.

Diane Slade will lead as Global Vice President for IAA Awards. She is former Head of Advertising and Creative Services (School of Arts and Humanities) at Edith Cowan University, and has previously served as Vice President for Education on the IAA World Board.

Joining Joel Nettey as Global Chairman and President in the global leadership team are IAA Senior Vice President Sasan Saeidi (Wundermann, London), General Secretary Carol Schuster (Lafayette 148, New York), Treasurer Venanzio Camarra (Venanzio Camarra & Partner, Milan) and Dagmara Szulce, Managing Director of IAA Global.

IAA Global Chairman and World President Joel E. Nettey, CEO, Innova DDB, Ghana said: “IAA Global will focus on four key pillars – Diversity & Inclusion, Creativity & Innovation, Regulatory Issues, and Education. Sheba Nandkeolyar said: “Joel’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in our industry is truly already evident in the appointment of his new VPs – with cultural and gender diversity evident. I am honoured to join the IAA Global board and look forward to rolling out Strategic Diversity initiatives globally while Vice President of IAA Global.”

Heather Leembruggen said: “Three women leaders from Australia joining IAA Global as Vice Presidents is testament to Australia’s growing reputation as thought leaders in the marcoms industry on the global stage.”
