IPSOS appoints Hamish Munro as CEO of Australian operation

IPSOS Australia has appointed Hamish Munro as CEO of its Australian operation.

The announcement: 

Ipsos today announced the appointment of experienced market research executive Hamish Munro as its new CEO for Ipsos Australia.

Munro has 20 years experience in market research and has extensive market knowledge of the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining Ipsos, Munro was CEO South East Asia and Managing Director Singapore for research company TNS, where he was responsible for the overall performance of the South East Asian markets, key regional client engagement and running two of the company’s largest global trackers.

Munro, an Australian, has worked in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. His specialist skills include research methodologies and brand/advertising tracking and he has significant experience in coordinating and analyzing large research projects.

Munro began his career with research company NFO in Indonesia in 1999, working in account service and rising to become Managing Director of Taiwan and Hong Kong before NFO was acquired by TNS. Previously, he was the Asia-Pacific Regional Director Technology for TNS, responsible for key client engagement and client service teams for the technology sector. He has also worked with Research International as global client leader on Samsung and Senior Client Service Director Greater China.

Munro has a Bachelor of Arts from Griffith University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Australian College of Journalism. He is a keen rugby fan.

Based in Sydney, Munro replaces Hugh Amoyal.
