Is Big W the beginning of the bounceback for Saatchis?

Google may prove me wrong, but in the entire time Mumbrella has existed, and very possibly for my entire editorship of B&T before that, I can’t remember ever writing the headline “Saatchi & Saatchi wins…”

So today’s appointment by Big W is a big deal.  

Saatchi & Saatchi is one of the world’s greatest agency names, with one of the greatest stories behind it.

For the last couple of years, to the outside observer it’s felt like an agency at death’s door. Last year Mumbrella readers – and our own expert panel – voted it one of the worst performing of Australia’s big 30 creative agencies. Happily we also predicted: “It’ll bounce back”.

With new talent coming on board, it looks like, under new CEO Michael Rebelo, it’s starting to happen.
