iSentia and PRIA to deliver exclusive content to members in new initiative

Australian media intelligence organisation, iSentia, has entered a partnership with the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA), the national industry body for public relations and communication professionals in Australia.

The partnership will see iSentia work closely with PRIA to deliver exclusive content and share industry insights with its members.

Russ Horell, chief commercial officer at iSentia said of the partnership: “iSentia is more than just a media monitoring company. We enable our clients to make great decisions and it is our duty to support and elevate the communications profession.

“We know that never before have communities and communications been so important. So we’re excited to be part of the direction that new CEO, Louise Harland-Cox, is taking PRIA.”

Harland-Cox, who was appointed the CEO position in May this year, the first full-time CEO for PRIA since 2017, said: “iSentia has long supported our industry, and we see them as invested in the further development of our members’ skills and knowledge.

“We have a shared goal of elevating the profession, and ensuring strategy and decisions come from a place of informed insight. I’m excited about what we’ll be able to achieve together.”

In July, iSentia released the Scheme Booklet which provides shareholders with information about the proposed acquisition by Access Intelligence of all the iSentia shares that it does not already own.

The acquisition is being undertaken by way of a scheme of arrangement in Australia, with the booklet giving reasons for shareholders to vote in favour of the scheme.

Additionally, Access Intelligence Plc shareholders voted to approve the acquisition of iSentia following a general meeting held in July.

The company has received shareholder approval for the fundraising to raise a total of GBP50 million (AUD $92,830,455) for the acquisition.
