First look at Chris Lilley’s Ja’mie: Private School Girl unveiled

Chris Lilley has unveiled a clip from his new series Ja’mie: Private School Girl, which is set to premiere in Australia on Wednesday 23 October at 9pm.

The six-part comedy series will chronicle the final three months of secondary school for 17-year-old Ja’mie King, first introduced to audiences in Lilley’s We can Be Heroes and then in Summer Heights Heigh.

In this series, Ja’mie ditches Summer Heights High and returns to Hillford Girls Grammer, where she stars as school captain.

It is also expected that the new series will also feature Summer Heights Heigh favourite Tongan schoolboy Jonah Takalua, however he does not make an appearance in the new show’s trailer.

For the first time, US cable channel HBO will air a Chris Lilley series not long after it’s Australian debut. The series will premiere in the US on Sunday November 24th, previous Chris Lilley series have been aired in the US six months after its original debut on Australian TV.
