Jamie’s Super Food pulls in 577,000 on debut for Ten as Seven wins quiet evening

The premiere of the latest Jamie Oliver cooking series Jamie’s Super Food was watched by 577,000 metro viewers on Ten at 7.30pm last night and was the most-watched show amongst viewers aged 16-39.

It was a drop for the channel after the highs of last week’s final of The Bachelorette with the cooking show easily out-rated by Nine’s RBT which grabbed 725,000 viewers. Gogglebox was the most-watched show amongst viewers aged 18-49 and 25-54.

RBT and Jamie’s Super Food both beat Seven’s Dog Patrol, airing at 8pm, which pulled in 446,000. Home and Away, on the channel from 7pm to 8pm, was watched by 716,000.

Seven won the night with an audience share of 17.7 per cent thanks to Seven News at 6pm which was the most-watched program of the evening with a metro audience of 916,000.

Nine wasn’t too far behind with a share of 17.4 per cent as Ten settled for third place with a share of 14.7 per cent. The ABC claimed a share of 12.1 per cent.

In the 8.30pm timeslot, Ten’s Gogglebox was watched by 565,000, down from last week’s audience of 720,000 which was most likely buoyed by The Bachelorette’s audience.

It did mange to out-rate Seven’s Mighty Cruise Ships which was watched by 563,000 while Nine’s panel talk show The Verdict saw its audience grow to 417,000 from last week’s 360,000.

Gogglebox also did well in time-shifted viewing, picking up an extra 109,000 viewers through the week to take last week’s audience to 828,000.

On the ABC, 7.30 pulled in 675,000 metro viewers, The Chaser’s Media Circus (8pm) grabbed 540,000 and a repeat of Sherlock (8.40pm) was watched by 353,000. The third episode of season three of Josh Thomas’ comedy Please Like Me, airing from 10pm, was watched by 140,000, down from last week’s audience of 156,000.

In news, Seven News at 6pm was watched by 916,000, sliding to 869,000 from 6.30pm while Nine News at 6pm pulled in 909,000, dipping to 880,000 from 6.30pm.
