Jaywing has appointed 13 new employees including Ed Raine who joined the agency as a senior strategist.

The announcement:

Jaywing boosts team by 13 following new business wins

Data science led digital marketing agency Jaywing has made 13 hires across the business following a string of major local and international wins. The Australian team has now increased to 44 and the new hires come as Jaywing reports revenue growth of 42%.

Among the hires are Ed Raine, who previously worked at Melbourne digital agency Evolution 7 and joins Jaywing as senior strategist; Heath Edwards becomes group account director, formerly co-founder and managing director of Sydney-based brand consultancy Vibrandt Media; and senior account manager Joey Twynholm-Mason arrives from the UK, where she worked at Bloom Agency, which was acquired by Jaywing plc in 2016.

Last month Sugar CRM consolidated its digital marketing and creative duties, including PR, data, brand and creative services, with Jaywing across key international markets including the US, Europe and APAC region. Jaywing is also the lead agency for the Sydney-based Collective Wellness Group, which includes brands Anytime Fitness, Orangetheory Fitness and Xtend Barre.

The new faces include a number of PPC hires to bolster Jaywing’s search team. Senior search analyst Jordan Mulder joins from Atomic 212, Nathan Ma joins from Bohemia, and search analyst Jason Baldi and digital media analyst Troy Mulder both come from Mindshare.

Chris Pittham, managing director of Jaywing said: “In the past six months we have added a number of new clients and expanded our relationships with existing clients, many of which we’re working with globally, which has led us to make a significant number of new hires across the business.

“We’ve been leading the way in our creative and data offering and strategic thinking that brings those disciplines together is crucial, which is why the appointment of the likes of Ed, Heath and Joey are important for the global challenger brands we work with. We’ve also bolstered our PPC, online media, account management and design teams to meet the growing demand of our clients and I want to welcome them all to the Jaywing team.”

Jaywing also recently expanded its presence and capabilities in Australia with the purchase of Frank Digital, which works with clients including Merivale, Bauer Media, City of Sydney and CanTeen.
