JC Decaux unveils new look Telstra digital panel kiosks
JC Decaux has unveiled the first of its new look Telstra digital panel kiosks.
The new kiosks follow the announcement last week that Telstra had extended its partnership with the out of home giant, with plans to revamp its national payphone network. The first dozen are in sites across Perth.
The new kiosks were developed in JC Decaux Media Lab based in Paris, and feature WIFI, USB charge docks and Telstra touch screens which display local information through partners such as Perth City Council.
The kiosks will be surrounded by digital advertising panels, available for six advertisers at a time.
Oliver Newtown, JC Decaux national sales director, said in a press release: “Built for today and primed for the future, we will be introducing a brand new format across Australia with unprecedented scale – a network that we believe will become the most sophisticated digital out- of-home ecosystem in Australia,” Newtown said.
JC Decaux’s Telstra contract will look to become the large national digital out of home contract with 1,800 digital kiosks proposed across Australia’s five capital cities.
The roll-out of the kiosks will continue in the New Year across Melbourne, and will continue nationally over the next two years.
