Jennifer Kirk joins Cannings Purple as associate director of government relations

Cannings Purple has hired Jennifer Kirk as an associate director of government relations.

Before joining Cannings Purple Kirk was an analyst at the Commonwealth Treasury, having also been an an advisor to the department of PM and Cabinet.

Kirk joins the agency as an associate director

Warrick Hazeldine, managing director at Cannings Purple, said in a statement: “With more than three years’ experience in the Commonwealth Treasury, Jennifer has a strong understanding of the economic and policy issues affecting WA, together with experience in building and implementing strategies to address them.

“She led Treasury’s stakeholder and regional engagement on important economic policy reform affecting the WA Government and business, from the state’s growing LNG industry, to reconciliation action and the tertiary education sector.”

Kirk’s appointment comes one month after the agency launched a Brisbane offering.

Meanwhile, earlier in the month Cannings Purple strengthened its digital content team with three new hires including the former editor of thewest.com.au, Simon White.

Speaking of her appointment, Kirk said: “I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the strong team at Cannings Purple to support our clients to better navigate government processes and enable them to engage more effectively with the government on their policy concerns.”
