Jenny Parkes joins News Australia Sales from DMG Radio

News Limited’s fledgling integrated sales operation News Australia Sales has recruited Jenny Parkes as director of sales operations.

Parkes joins from DMG Radio where she was group sales director.

She returns to the company where she started her career as a sales executive.

Before joining DMG, she spent a 12-year stint at Southern Cross Austereo, latterly as director of sales, Sydney.

The news follows the unveiling of what has been billed as Australia’s largest integrated media sales operation at the start of April.

The group’s chief commercial officer Tony Prentice said in a press release: “Initial feedback from the market to our integrated offering has been really strong, and with Jenny’s help we can begin to build upon this advantage. This appointment demonstrates News Australia Sales’ commitment to investing in a world class operations function, working in conjunction with the sales team, to deliver the best solutions for our customers.”

Parkes added: “The opportunity to work with Australia’s biggest and most exciting media sales organisation at this early stage in its evolution is irresistible. The planning and strategy that has gone into creating a genuinely customer focussed sales operation is already resonating in the market place. This is a great opportunity to be returning to News Limited, where I began my career, to join Tony and the team at News Australia Sales.”
