Strategists thrown marketing problems in quickfire session at Mumbrella360

mUmBRELLA360logo 2012Marketing problems are to be tackled live on stage in a quickfire session at Mumbrella360.

The session, called Stump the Strategist, will see five industry heavyweights field problems from the audience, which they will try to solve against a clock.

The strategists will have nine minutes to crack whatever problems they are given.

The format is the brainchild of Ashton Bishop, a strategist at Step Change Marketing, a consultancy that has been running the event before audiences of between 40 to 80 people.

The format has yet to be tested before a much bigger audience, and will take place on the main stage at Mumbrella360.

The strategists on stage will be Bishop, Slingshot Digital boss Simon Corbett, the MD of TrinityP3 Darren Woolley , Step Change futurist Craig Rispin and the consultancy’s GM Jeff Cooper.

Problems tackled on previous Stump the Strategist sessions have included ‘How to sell ice to eskimos’ and ‘How to get Julia Gillard re-elected’.

A summary of the strategists:
