JMB FX wins Emmy
Queensland’s JMB FX Studio won the Emmy for Most Outstanding Prosthetics for a Series, Mini-Series or Movie for its work on the mini-series The Pacific.
“This was the largest production we have worked on in relation to the scope of the design, the fabrication and the shoot, spanning over 13 months. I am very proud of my entire team and the recognition we have received with this Emmy Award win,” said designer and department head Jason Baird.
Also present at the event were on-set supervisor Sean Genders and make-up artists JAC and Robert Charlton.
JMB FX shared the award with LA-based KNB FX, which shared responsibilities with the Queensland company.
“This award showcases the high quality of Australian film technicians and Australia as a location for filming. We are all very proud of the quality of work we created for The Pacific and this recognition highlights our ability to stand amongst the very best in the world,” added Baird.
