Melbourne’s former Fox FM breakfast presenter Jo Stanley will host Southern Cross Austereo’s nationally networked weekend breakfast program with former Big Brother contestant Michael Beveridge and Byron Cooke.

Stanley, who hosted the Matt and Jo Show with Matt Tilley for the last ten years, moves to the weekend slot as Tilley went to SCA’s Triple M network where he will host the Drive show from Melbourne with Jo Hildebrand in Sydney.

She will be joined by Beveridge, a co-host on the SA FM breakfast show in Adelaide Monday to Friday and former Big Brother housemate and adland copywriter.

“As the 34th most popular ex-reality TV person of the second half of 2012, I feel totally at ease amongst the relatively inexperienced due of Jo and Byron,” he quipped.

Cooke worked on the nationally networked Fifi and Jules Drive show for the last three years, and moves to Weekend Breakfast after the show’s conclusion last year. Jules Lund has since moved onto the new 2Day FM breakfast show with Merrick Watts, Sophie Monk and Mel B, and Fifi Box joined Dave Thornton on Fox FM’s breakfast show.

Cooke said in a statement: “I’ve tried so many hair care products, but now I’ve found Weekend Breakfast. My co-hosts have the salon quality hair that I’ve dreamt about for years.”

Stanley said: “Radio is my first love and passion. To be able to have some fun with such a huge national audience with my two new buddies Michael and Byron is very exciting. I look forward to easing the pain of weekend sports runs and hangovers all over the country.”

MCM Media produces Weekend Breakfast in partnership with Southern Cross Austereo and it is broadcast on 52 radio stations across the country on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7am to 9am.
