Joanne Woo joins Deliveroo as head of corporate affairs

Food delivery service Deliveroo has appointed Joanne Woo as its head of corporate affairs.

Woo joins the business from GE Australia where she was its vice president of brand and communications for two years.

Woo joins the agency after spending eight years at GE

She had been with the company for eight years holding positions including director of communications and corporate affairs.

Prior to her stint at GE, Woo was the general manager of external communications in Australia and New Zealand at Siemens for two years.

Woo said in a statement: “This is an exciting time to be joining a start-up that is always breaking new ground – whether in how people work, how people eat or how restaurants operate.

“The on-demand economy has transformed the world as we know it and Australia has a huge opportunity to lead the way in shaping the future of work. I look forward to bringing my experience to the talented local team and ensuring Deliveroo continues to lead the conversation here.”
