Partnerships Manager- Mumbrella Media

Role Summary:
We are seeking a commercially driven Partnerships Manager to accelerate revenue growth across digital, event partnerships, and strategic sponsorships for Mumbrella Media. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role combines relationship management with proactive business development, creating client-focused solutions that align with both commercial priorities and market opportunities.

The ideal candidate does not need to be an expert in every area from day one but will bring a growth mindset, a strong ability to learn, and the drive to succeed in a fast-paced media environment. With existing industry connections or the aptitude to quickly build them, they will be confident engaging senior decision-makers and responding to client challenges with innovative, revenue-generating ideas.

The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in delivering sponsorship and advertising targets across Mumbrella Media’s portfolio including digital platforms, newsletters, and flagship industry events while fostering long-term partnerships that reinforce Mumbrella Media’s position as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities, Partnerships Manager (Mumbrella Media)
Lead digital and event sponsorship initiatives, securing high-value partnerships to strengthen Mumbrella Media’s market position and drive revenue growth.

Drive new business development across Mumbrella Media events by proactively engaging key prospects and converting them into long-term commercial partners.

Develop and nurture strategic partnerships, managing high-value client portfolios to build strong relationships and maximize commercial potential.

Collaborate with the Commercial Director to design compelling sponsorship packages and secure top-tier partnerships that align with business objectives.

Respond to industry briefs and challenges with innovative ideas that meet client needs while delivering measurable revenue growth.

Optimize trade advertising, events, and sponsorship opportunities to provide market-responsive solutions that enhance revenue and industry leadership.

Define market segments and growth strategies, applying industry insights to shape commercial models and unlock future opportunities.

Craft tailored commercial solutions that anticipate evolving market needs while maintaining Mumbrella Media’s competitive positioning.

Oversee key client relationships, ensuring partnerships deliver both immediate impact and long-term commercial success.

Manage mid to senior-level negotiations to secure strategic partnerships across digital, events, and media platforms.

Ensure KPIs are consistently achieved, exceeding revenue targets and identifying new sales channels and opportunities for sustained growth.

Requirements:
Existing relationships within the media, marketing, advertising, or publishing industries, providing access to key decision-makers and commercial opportunities.

Proven track record in B2B commercial development, with demonstrated success in selling multi-tiered sponsorship packages, digital advertising solutions, and event partnerships.

Minimum of five years’ experience in new business development, sales, or a comparable commercial role.

Strong understanding of the media and marketing ecosystem, with the ability to identify trends and translate them into commercial opportunities.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team mindset.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Sydney, with the ability to travel domestically as required.

Proficiency with CRM systems and experience using sales automation and reporting tools. Experience with Hubspot, Google Ad Manager preferred.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance client needs and business objectives to drive long-term growth.
