John Thompson ends six year tenure as Dentsu X’s Victorian government business manager
Dentsu X’s Victorian government business manager John Thompson has left the agency, Mumbrella can reveal.
A former senior marketer at Victoria’s Transport Accident Commission, Thompson joined the then Mitchell and Partners in 2012.
During Thompson’s tenure at the TAC, the government organisation won the 2006 Kodak Australian Advertiser of the Year prize and the 2006 Gold Pencil from AWARD for Advertiser of the Year.
“We can confirm that John Thompson, Managing Director – Government Services in Victoria, has resigned from his position at dentsu X,” a spokesperson for the Dentsu Aegis Network told Mumbrella.
“We thank him for his service, and wish him the best with his future endeavours. His role will not be replaced at this stage.”
“With the recent appointment of Angela Tangas as National Managing Director of dentsu X, it’s a time of transformation for the business. We look forward to sharing some exciting announcements in the near future.”
John is a ripping guy but unless he has had a lot of surgery that is not him in the photo.

Well done on an excellent stint at Dentsu Mitchell and Dentsu X. He will be a great asset to any business who is lucky enough to snap him up.
